Message Delivery Tidbits

  • You are to stay true to the message concept, summary, keypoint, key verse, and supporting verses.
  • You have 10 seconds to captivate the room, make that 10 seconds count.
  • Add your hook element in your outline
  • Where is it funny? Laughter does good like a medicine!
  • Provocative questions added?  Keeps audience engaged
  • Statistics are good to add
  • Quotes from others?  He who quotes others will himself be quoted.
  • If a trumpet makes an uncerta.  
  • Stay on point with one thought process.  Rabbit trails detract from how deep you can go on your original theme.

Oh By The Ways

  1. Message Deadlines:
    • Message Notes for Sunday are due the Thursday prior by 5:00PM to the AV Team
    • Message Notes for Wednesday are due the Friday prior to the AV Team
  2. Anything that you want to be a slide must be in brown font - see the example outlines
  3. Welcome the online guests in the beginning and thank them at the end
  4. Know the camera width and stay within the boundaries
  5. Speak slowly and clear - avoid silly statements or Christianese
  6. Keep your hands out of your pockets or fidgeting with papers 
  7. It is ok to use your notes
  8. Invite people to receive the gift of Salvation
  9. Be confident, you are equipped
