General Guidelines

  • Lead by example
  • Commit to consistent attendance to provide logistical and spiritual oversight to your team members
  • Place a high priority on being present weekly in the life of the church unless time off requests have been submitted
  • Pray for your team and foster spiritual growth as you lead.
  • Trust God with your money by tithing
  • Maintain presence in Connect Groups / Lead Connect Groups
  • Attend Leadership Staff meetings 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month so that as a leader you can contribute to the direction of CHR and provide information to your team as needed
  • Attend Morning Prayer 8:30am Sundays
  • Arrive on time to attend dream team rally 9:30am
  • Attend weekday Prayer/Worship events
  • Identify members who could be future leaders and work with your Dream Team Director to begin training them. This helps us be ready as God continues to grow our church and our team
  • Provide feedback on opportunities where we can strive to provide better service to our team or our guests
  • Maintain ministry budget and be accountable for all expenditures

Ministry Guidelines

  • Teach a Minimum of three (3) times a month
  • Foster relationships on the team, ensuring new team members are “oriented” to the team by seasoned members
  • Facebook Live/record a video (1-3 minutes) to your ministry Facebook page to encourage your students through the week no less than twice a month
  • Plan and coordinate at least four (4) large group events annually (once a quarter)
  • Plan and execute events; turn in event and graphics requests forms 12 weeks prior to event
  • Partner with the parents to coordinate ocasional attendance at student’s extracurricular activities 
  • Partner with other ministries to foster mentoring and discipleship
  • Create opportunities for cross over sessions between Straightline and The U to build momentum and excitement for those moving into and moving on from Forge
  • Coordinate team-building training (2) times a year - once in January and once in June emphasizing team goals and promoting church culture. (CHR Values, Mission, Vision)
  •  Additionally, provide a minimum of (2) opportunities for the team to hangout together building camaraderie and encouragement to new team members
  • Train new team members on policies and procedures
  • Maintain supplies for check-in and classrooms; gather/purchase necessary supplies for lessons and games.
  • Purchase supplies needed for events with either a church check or personally and turn in receipts the Sunday following the purchase, labeled with your name and each receipt labeled for the event. Reimbursements will be mailed.

Prerequisites

  • Sign membership covenant form
  • Have attended CHR for at least six (6) months
  • Be able to serve for at least (one) 1 year once in position
  • Completed or plan to complete Foundations within one (1) year of taking the position
  • Commits to a life of sobriety
