A pillar of the CHR strategy, connect groups provide a place to connect, a place to protect, and a place to grow. The Connect Group Director contributes to fortify the leadership abilities in CHR members while establishing a diverse offering of life giving connect groups. We are a church of Connect Groups not just a church with connect groups.

General Guidelines
- Lead by example
- Commit to consistent attendance to provide logistical and spiritual oversight to your team members
- Place a high priority on being present weekly in the life of the church unless time off requests have been submitted
- Pray for your team and foster spiritual growth as you lead.
- Trust God with your money by tithing
- Maintain presence in Connect Groups / Lead Connect Groups
- Attend Staff Meetings on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month so that as a leader you can contribute to the direction of CHR and provide information to your team as needed
- Attend Morning Prayer 8:30am Sundays
- Attend weekday Prayer/Worship events
- Arrive on time to attend dream team rally 9:30am
- Identify members who could be future leaders and work with your Dream Team Director to begin training them. This helps us be ready as God continues to grow our church and our team
- Provide feedback on opportunities where we can strive to provide better service to our team or our guests
- Maintain ministry budget and be accountable for all expenditures
Ministry Guidelines
- Encourage all CHR members to lead a connect group. Organize and communicate with all potential leaders, new and returning, why connect groups matter and why leading groups is an essential next step in our relationship with Jesus and commitment to the mission and vision of CHR
- Schedule and lead the Connect Group Leader Interest meeting every session to ensure all new leaders are “oriented” prior to leading a group for the first time;
- Work with the CHR Media Team to advertise Connect Groups for each of the group sessions on all social media platforms
- Create pre-session momentum weekly with live and written posts in the Dream Team Facebook page encouraging leadership and celebrating leaders as they sign up to lead groups
- Receive and organize all new and returning Connect Groups leader submissions
- Ensure there is a diverse offering of God-centered connect group types and times each session
- Provide Connect Group list in proper format to CHR Pastoral team for submission to graphic design, publications, and CHR website, following up to ensure that all areas have been completed and meet the deadlines
- Schedule and lead the pre-session connect group leader’s information and prayer night ensuring all leaders have what they need
- Plan and coordinate all Connect Group rally days ensuring the event aligns with CHR’s value of excellence. Lead, or appoint a lead, to answer all connect group related questions during rally day
- Remain in regular contact/communication with the current Connect Group leaders, updating them on news and events as needed
- Collect and report initial attendance numbers/names at the beginning of each session to identify connect group attendees
- Find connect group leaders and attendees to provide testimonies of why Connect Groups matter. Work with leadership and media teams to scheduling filming, editing, and publication
Prerequisites
- Sign membership covenant form
- Have attended CHR for at least six (6) months
- Be able to serve for at least (one) 1 year once in position
- Completed or plan to complete Foundations within one (1) year of taking the position
- Commits to a life of sobriety
